Leila

I am a freelance photographer based in the UK, who works on a diverse range of photographic projects ranging from marketing, events and education shoots to longer term collaborative projects leading to exhibition. I enjoy working collaboratively and am flexible, creative and professional in my approach to any commission that I undertake.

My early career as a photographer began in Italy where I lived for seven years (1998-2004). I took advantage of my previous career as a professional dancer performing across Europe, which resulted in me developing a large body of my early work through commissions documenting contemporary theatre productions across Italy. This resulted in exhibitions in Empoli, Cagliari and Liverpool. After a successful career in Italy I returned to my hometown of Liverpool where I’ve worked as a photographic practitioner, since 2005, and founded the non for profit organisation Stray Cat Media in 2007.
