I’ve been photographing projects for Alan Dunn, since 2005, when Alan was based in FACT, Liverpool, and was really pleased when I discovered he had been shortlisted for Liverpool’s Art Prize 2012.  His exhibition ‘the sounds of ideas forming’  is currently on at  Metal, Edge Hill, and proves an intriguing insight into his influences and interests.  I documented the work and private view for Alan, which was absolutely packed, and it’s well worth a visit…The winner is announced at the end of May, so hope Alan wins.  His work can be viewed at http://www.alandunn67.co.uk/

I am currently enjoying a great collaboration with photographers from across the UK as part of Redeye Lightbox contribution to Look11 International Photography Festival.

My group have set up a website to keep everyone updated so click here to take a look.

Met at Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, yesterday to view work in progress and Paul McCann and myself contributed a series of images of significant objects taken from the Park Road residents homes. Visit the exhibition work in progress on my site to see some of the images produced to date.

Had a great time at Radio Merseyside studio on Friday, as Catherine Marcangelli curated a two hour programme which commemorates the late great Adrian Henri’s life and legacy ten years after his passing. It was an insightful evening as guests such as Willy Russell, Mike McCartney and Andy Roberts celebrated Adrian’s painting, performance, poetry and personality, with entertaining and thought provoking anecdotes.

I was invited to attend due to a photographic and audio installation, ‘Write On Liverpool’ , curated by Paul Farley, which saw me collaborate with thirteen poets, including the Mersey Sound poets Roger McGough and Brian Patten. As one of the founding fathers of the ‘Mersey Sound’ Adrian was instrumental in putting Liverpool on the map of modern poetry and influenced so many artists, writers and performers. His talent, zest for life and generosity of spirit can not be under estimated and thanks to Catherine for embracing the project.

The show will go out on BBC Radio Merseyside at 6pm on Boxing Day and Adrian’s website www.adrianhenri.com will launch soon.
